Welcome to Shabaka al-Masajid, a free, non-profit platform that helps people find masjids and prayer times, and connects masjids with the volunteers who serve them. By using our website or apps, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
Masjid details come from the masjids themselves: their trustees, committee members or the people they choose. If you add or update a masjid's details, you confirm that the masjid allows you to do so, and you agree to keep its details correct and up to date.
Our team checks each masjid before it is listed, but we cannot check every detail.
Azan and Jamat times are set by each masjid and can change, for example with the seasons, in Ramadan or for Eid. We show them as the masjid gives them to us and cannot guarantee that they are correct or current. For important times, please check with the masjid, and use "Report a wrong time" if something looks wrong.
Shabaka al-Masajid helps masjids and volunteers find each other. What they arrange together, and any help given, is between the people and masjids involved. We don't employ volunteers, and we are not responsible for what people agree or do between themselves. Please use good sense, meet at the masjid or another public place, and tell us about anything that worries you.
Please use Shabaka al-Masajid with the same good manners you would show in a masjid. You must not:
If someone breaks these terms or puts others at risk, we may remove what they added, hide or remove a masjid listing, or suspend or close their account. Where we can, we will tell them why. You can stop using Shabaka al-Masajid and delete your account at any time on your account page.
Masjid information (such as names, addresses, map locations, prayer times, facilities and events) is shared for the benefit of the whole community. By providing it, you allow Shabaka al-Masajid to publish, show, translate and share it on our website and apps, in share links and in QR codes, free of charge, for as long as the masjid is listed. The masjid keeps any rights it has in its information. The Shabaka al-Masajid name, logo and design belong to the project.
Shabaka al-Masajid is a free service run by a small team. We work hard to keep it correct and available, but we provide it "as is", without any promise that it will always work or be free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, Shabaka al-Masajid and its team are not responsible for any loss that comes from using the platform, from relying on the prayer times shown, or from dealings between volunteers and masjids.
We may update these terms as the platform grows. We will change the date at the top of this page and tell registered users about important changes by email or notification. If you keep using Shabaka al-Masajid after a change, you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will always try first to settle any disagreement kindly, by talking to each other. If that fails, only the courts in Warangal, Telangana, may hear the dispute.
